Lisa Price Takes Carol's Daughter Back to the Kitchen With Lisa's Kitchen
The first collection since the founder reclaimed her brand is a four-piece scalp and edge care line, and its edge balm just won an Oprah Daily O-ward.

More than 30 years after she started Carol's Daughter in her Brooklyn kitchen, Lisa Price is back where it began. Lisa's Kitchen, a four-product scalp and edge care collection, is the first launch since Price reacquired Carol's Daughter from L'Oréal USA in 2025.
The line arrived in September, and recognition followed quickly. The Edge Treatment Balm was named Best Edge Treatment in Oprah Daily's 2026 Beauty O-wards, and Price brought the collection to the Fall Beauty Bar on the Tamron Hall Show this week.
She wanted Lisa's Kitchen “to feel like coming home.”
For Price, that meant a return to “the basics that actually work,” the kind of everyday care that built Carol's Daughter in the first place.
Four Products, One Price
Each $12.99, all made with nettle leaf, soursop and lavender
Edge Treatment Balm (2 oz). A balm that melts into a lightweight oil, made with green coffee butter to condition fragile edges. Wear it alone or under edge control.
Scalp Balancing Serum (2 fl. oz.). An oil-free, fragrance-free daily scalp hydrator with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and rice protein, made for protective styles.
Scalp & Edge Cleansing Oil (6 fl. oz.). A no-rinse cleanser with rice bran oil that lifts buildup, sweat and styling residue between wash days.
Scalp Detox Cleansing Nectar (8 fl. oz.). A sulfate-free foaming scalp cleanser with ceramides for every wash day.

Lisa's Kitchen is available at CarolsDaughter.com, Walmart, CVS and Amazon, putting the collection within reach of the shoppers who made the brand a household name.
The Founder Takeaway
Your origin story is an asset you can return to. Price did not chase a trend for her first launch back. She went back to the kitchen, the price point and the everyday problems her customers already trusted her to solve.
When you plan your next launch, ask what your customer first loved you for, and build from there.
For one of the most recognized Black-founded names in hair care, the collection marks a new chapter, led once again by the woman who started it.
